ZOOM SPIRIDON X PARRA

A collaboration that first dates back to 2005 Nike has once again tapped the inspiration of renowned Dutch artist Piet Parra and commissioned his expertise to transform their Nike Air Zoom Spiridon silhouette. Released in July 2017 the Zoom Spiridon x Parra is designed as a representation of the cityscapes and countrysides of Holland incorporating a series of striped and polka dot patterns throughout the mudguard, while the majority of the upper features the traditional mesh upper for breathability. Parra's playful design language, with accentuated hits of colour bolding contrasting the all-white framework, make the resulting creation more resemblant of watercolour on a canvas than a shoe made in a factory. Each and every collaboration between the pair is an incredibly striking and artistic creation and one that would be marvelled in a frame just as willingly as on your feet.
